IVA Adviser

My name is Phil Corfield and (most of the time) I am the “IVA Adviser” on this website. I took over the role in March 2012.

I have worked in the provision of debt advice for several years and am professionally qualified with the CertDR qualification.

As well as contributing to our forum I am a member of the site’s phone-based IVA advice team. We’re all qualified debt advisers. We assist site visitors that call us or send in contact form from the site. In addition to giving advice about IVA’s we can also provide advice and guidance in connection to all other debt solutions.

The process that we follow is to establish the facts behind any individual’s problem debt. Developing a good understanding of the situation means that we can offer tailored specific advice relevant to that individual rather than the generalised and often unqualified advice on offer elsewhere.

If you look at the forum you’ll notice that the “IVA Adviser” works long hours and is often found answering questions late in the evening and during the weekends. My colleagues within the site advice team also take on the forum role of “IVA Adviser” from time to time in order that I can have an occasional rest! As mentioned previously they all also hold professional debt advising qualifications so they are well-placed to assist visitors as well.
